I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2001 with a B.A. Honours Degree in three dimensional Design and Ceramics - Tableware.
The inspiration for some of my work comes from the changing environment, particularly with regard to Urban and Rural landscapes. Research includes decay and regeneration and our use of resources & recycling.
My love of asymmetry is portrayed in much of the work in both form and surface techniques. I enjoy the spontaneity of sketching freehand onto simple forms and the quiet contemplation as I add each transfer decoration but it is exhilaration and freedom I feel at the prospect of printing straight onto the raw clay.
There is always something new to discover which makes for a wonderful vocation.
